Discount 2.3.0 released

Version 2.3.0 of our Discount k-mer counter has been released. This version contains several new key features, including a “pregrouped” pipeline that enabled us to scale up to the 6 TB Serratus dataset. We were also able to analyse a difficult crayfish dataset (described in an interesting blog post by Kamil S Jaron), which has a highly skewed k-mer distribution.

Discount 2.3.0 is available for download from our releases page. We will describe its features in more detail in a forthcoming blog post.
